Overview
Tower cranes as a commonly construction machinery, mainly used for housing construction, with the vertical and horizontal delivery of materials. Tt consists with three parts: metal structure, working mechanism and electrical system. Metal structure includes a tower, boom and base, etc; Working mechanism with hoisting, luffing, slewing and walking four parts. Electrical system includes an electric motor, controller, power distribution cabinets, cable connections, signal and lighting devices
Normally, Tower crane installation must be equipped with below devices: Lifting torque limiter from the weight limiter, height limiter, amplitude limiter, slewing limiter, hook safety device, safety device reel, wind instrument, rope off slots insurance, car anti-broken rope device, anti-car off-axis device and buffers. However, all of these devices can only guarantee the basic security. Once the tower under extreme circumstances, it may cause significant security incidents. Therefore, for the existing tower crane safety monitoring, there are many shortcomings.
To solve this situation, Vigor tech developed a more complete tower crane safety monitoring program: sensors for a full range of tower crane safety monitoring.
Application
Sensor applications for full safety monitoring of tower crane are embodied in the following areas
1) Tower crane installation. Crane foundation is the basic assembly unit, the practice has proved that major security incidents are due to the problems of crane foundation. Vigor sensors can measure the installation angle, during installation, vigor sensor can real-time detection, send the warning information in time.
2) The height of the tower crane automatically rise. During the automatically rise, after adding new steel frames, the operation room is still perpendicular to the ground or not will have a great impact on the safety.
3) Tower crane vertical lifting process. Measuring the bending angle and tilt angle of the swing arm, the tilt angle of crane.
4) Tower crane horizontal delivering process. Measuring the bending angle and tilt angle of swing arm, the tilt angle of crane.
5) In the heavy windy and rainy weather conditions, measure the swing angle of crane.
